Wilmington, NC - The Cape Fear Community College men's basketball team grinded its way to a 56-53 win over CCBC Dundalk to close out two games in as many days Sunday at the Schwartz Center in downtown Wilmington.
"We really struggled getting into a flow tonight offensively," said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. "Good teams find ways to win ugly games so I am proud of these young men."
Anthony Vanhook led all scorers with 24 points and 16 rebounds, while Demetres Abrams chipped in with 12 points as the Sea Devils improved to 3-0 on the young season.
Cape Fear gets back on the floor for a few more days of practice heading into a home game against Wake Tech on Thursday, Nov. 13. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
