Bolivia, NC - Cape Fear men's basketball defeated West Oaks Academy 98-65 on Saturday.
Donte Tatum led the Sea Devils with 22 points. This is Tatum's second straight game scoring at least 20 points or more. Quate McKinzie added 18 points, while Eric Fox and James Moore each scored 11 points a piece.
Saturday's win snapped a two game losing streak. While head coach Ryan Mantlo was pleased with the win, he acknowledged that more work needs to be done.
"I was happy to see some improvement from the night before; however, we are still a long way off from where we need to be," said Coach Mantlo. "The team seems focused to get there so I am excited to get back to work after spending some family time during Thanksgiving."
Cape Fear improves to 5-1 on the season.
They will get an extended break with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up this week. Their next game won't be until Thursday, November 29th, where they will travel to New York to take on Harcum College in the first game of the Monroe College Classic.
