Hickory, NC - Cape Fear women's basketball lost to Catawba Valley Community College 73-60 on Saturday.
The loss comes a day after the Sea Devils defeated Guilford Tech Community College by 18 points.
As head coach Lori Drake pointed out, her team did not come with the same energy as they did in the previous game.
"We didn't bring it like we did against GTCC," said Coach Drake. "We have to continue to push ourselves daily to get better and prepare ourselves to compete against every team we face."
Tracey Kemp led Cape Fear with 15 points, while Ny Langley scored 14.
The team drops to 10-3 overall on the season, and 7-2 in conference play. They remain in second place in Region 10.
The team's next game is scheduled for Wednesday, January 9th, where they will take on Fayetteville Tech Community College at home at 7:00 p.m. at Laney High School.
