Match #7: Cape Fear Community College (5-0) vs Wake Technical Community College (2-2)

WILMINGTON, NC--- The Sea Devil Women's Soccer program enters Friday afternoon's Region 10 match-up against Wake Tech Community College as the #17 ranked team in this week's NJCAA Division 1 Top 25 Rankings poll (September 13th Poll).
The Sea Devils are coming off a (2-0) home victory over Louisburg College on Wednesday night. Cape Fear got both goals from sophomore Alyssa Coustenis (14th and 75th minute, assisted by freshman Sierra Raynor). The Sea Devils' defensively held their own against the Hurricanes, who entered the contest with a (4-0) record. The Sea Devils allowed Louisburg College to only 3 total shots, zero shots after halftime. Cape Fear freshman goalkeeper Elizabeth Ethridge recorded a 1-save clean sheet performance in her fifth game appearance (3rd start) of the season.
The win for Cape Fear is Coach Deppa's 16th all-time with the Sea Devil Women's Soccer program and the school's 145th all-time win.
"We are coming off earning a positive result in a tough match vs Louisburg on Wednesday night. We have to continue to be hungry and continue to embrace the challenges which each opponent is giving us," said Sea Devil Women's Soccer head coach Ryan Deppa following the team's win over Louisburg College.
Wake Tech enters Friday's match-up with a (2-2) record after their (1-5) home loss to Patrick Henry Community College on Wednesday, September 7. The Eagles' 2016-2017 roster features seven sophomore and 12 freshmen.
"Wake Tech has an improved roster from 2015," said head coach Deppa in his pre-game presser comments about Wake Tech Community College.
Tomorrow's matchup between the two women's soccer programs is the 9th all-time in school history; Sea Devil Women's Soccer leads the all-time series at (8-0).
Cape Fear defeated Wake Tech in their two regular season meetings last season, where the Sea Devils outscored the Eagles (20-1).
