Sea Devils Cruise Past USC Sumter with 5-0 Win

Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear Community College women's soccer dominated USC Sumter on Tuesday afternoon, earning a commanding 5-0 victory at home.

The scoring opened in the 38th minute when Isabelle Ingoe converted a corner served by Amelia Myers, giving the Sea Devils a 1-0 lead. Just six minutes later, in the 44th minute, Sophomore Captain Kayla Donley headed home another precise service from Myers to make it 2-0 going into halftime.

Cape Fear extended its advantage in the second half with Abigail Williams scoring unassisted in the 57th minute, then adding her second goal in the 69th minute from a setup by Ava Walker. The final goal came in the 79th minute, as Myers converted a layoff from Brynnleigh Thompson, sealing the 5-0 win.

The Sea Devils outshot USC Sumter 40–5, with Lily Richards recording a clean sheet with 5 saves. Myers finished the match with 1 goal and 2 assists, Williams tallied 2 goals, and Ingoe and Donley each added a goal as well. Cape Fear also recorded 4 corner kicks and limited USC Sumter to five shots on goal, showcasing dominance on both ends of the field.
