Wilmington, NC - Wake Tech travelled to Wilmington Friday night and snapped the Sea Devils three-game winning streak with a 3-0 sweep inside the Schwartz Center.
Cape Fear battled through all three games, but came up short in the Region 10 match as sophomore setter Megan Thomas remained consistent with 21 assists. Lydia Smith and Brittani Jefferson paced the Sea Devils attack with 17 combined kills.
"It was definitely a tough loss at home," said CFCC Coach Emily Coleman. "It seemed we struggled to maintain rhythm and were unable to pull through. With that said, we have to look to bounce back as we head through the stretch run to finish the season."
Heading into the final two home games Cape Fear fell to 10-4 in conference and 15-8 overall. The Sea Devils return to the court Sunday, Oct. 26 against Louisburg College.
