Wilmington, NC - Men's basketball wins first game of the season, defeating Gordon State College 86-73!
In the Sea Devils second home game of the season, they came out on fire. They were able to convert on the offensive side of the court to give themselves quite the lead going into the half. Freshman guard Dakari Johnson had a game high with 26-points, sophomore Torey James followed with 19 points, and sophomore guard Trayvon Ferrell had 10 points.
Head coach Mark Lane says "Responded very well from the first day, it was a total team effort. Proud of how hard we played all weekend".
The Sea Devils are now 1-1 on the season.
Their next game is scheduled for Saturday, November 9th. They travel to Martinsville, VA to take on CCBC Dundalk in the Patrick Henry CC Tournament. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m.
