Wilmington, NC - The Sea Devils began their final road trip of the regular season on Wednesday with a 77-60 result over Lenoir Community College in women's basketball action.
No. 11 Cape Fear extended its winning streak to 19 straight games dating back to early November, improving to 11-0 in conference and 19-1 overall. Monica Alexander led the way with 24 points.
"We did what we needed too early to put the game away," said Coach Chris Harris. "Everyone had a chance to play, which is always nice. We look forward to working on a few things this week for the stretch run."
With four games to go in the regular season, the Sea Devils hold top spot in Region 10 play. Cape Fear gets the week off before returning to the floor at Wake Tech Community College on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
