Women's Basketball Drops Road Game

Virginia Beach, VA - The Sea Devils dropped their second straight road game Saturday afternoon 74-64 at Bryant & Stratton College. Cape Fear (1-2) jumped out to an early lead but a strong second quarter from the Bobcats gave BSC a 32-29 advantage at halftime. The second half wasn't kind to CFCC as cold shooting hindered a potential comeback. Cape Fear shot 26% from beyond the arc and were out rebounded 42-28 on the night.

"We struggled once again to shoot the three today," said head coach Trae Bryant. "We cut our turnovers almost in half from last game so I am very proud of our focus in that category. The important thing is that we continue to learn from these past two games and strive to get better daily."

The Sea Devils were led in scoring by Imani Sutton who scored 18 points and snatched 7 rebounds. Jada Nowlin was the only other Sea Devil to reach double figures, finishing the night with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Cape Fear is back in action Wednesday night as they welcome the Indians of USC Salkehatchie to the Schwartz Center. Game time is slated for 6:00pm.
