Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear women's volleyball defeated Fayetteville Tech 3-0 on Thursday.
The Sea Devils won the first two sets by close margins of 25-20, and 25-23, but pulled away in the third and final set to win 25-16.
Taylor Long led the team in kills 10. She also recorded a block and a team high four aces. Maryellie Carpenter added three aces, while Caroline Compton finished with 17 digs, 22 assists, and one ace. Madison Spencer, meanwhile, finished with eight kills and a team best with four blocks.
"I'm very proud of how the girls are playing," said head coach Heather Emborsky. "They are playing with confidence and purpose."
Cape Fear improves to 7-9 on the season and 6-5 in conference play.
Their next match is Saturday, October 27th, where they will face Bryant & Stratton College on the road at 2:00 p.m.
