Louisburg – Cape Fear Community College men's basketball team lost a tough road contest to Louisburg College, 88-71, prior to Saturday's 12 pm challenge versus Catawba Valley in Raleigh.
Coach Ryan Mantlo's team (1-4) is hoping to improve board play as well as other selected aspects of their game.
"We aren't tough enough mentally to beat good teams right now," the Sea Devils' coach said. "We will head back to the drawing boards to continue to work hard."
Three Cape Fear players hit double figures – Anthony Vanhook (17), Osandi Vaughn (15) and Demetres Abrams (11).
