Wilmington NC - For the second straight game, the Cape Fear Community College men's basketball team posted over 100 points as the Sea Devils cruised to victory in a 101-59 MLK matinee at the Schwartz Center on Monday afternoon.
"I thought we finally played for 40 minutes," said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. "We are starting to buy into the things that will make us successful and we are getting better because of that. We have a great road trip this weekend as we continue to make a push for a championship."
Four different Sea Devils recorded double digits in the victory. Osandai Vaughn and Anthony Vanhook led the way with 21 points for Cape Fear, while JT Murphy and DeMarcus Sanford combined for 29 points.
Cape Fear (1-1, 9-10) looks to get back to the .500 mark with two games road games coming up later this week. The Sea Devils travel to Wake Tech for 7 p.m. on Friday, and return to floor Saturday for a 3 p.m. matinee at Central Carolina.
