Raleigh – Cape Fear Community College won its second game of the season Saturday afternoon with a solid, 82-59 road victory over Catawba Valley.
"We did some really good things defensively today," Coach Ryan Mantlo noted. "We had a great practice last night (Friday) and it carried over today."
The winners put four players in double figures. Anthony Vanhook led Cape Fear with 20 points, followed by Demarcus Sanford with 15. Osandai Vaughn pumped in 12 and teammate Demetres Abrams canned 11.
Cape Fear's next encounter is at home Tuesday in a 7 pm contest versus Wake Tech of Raleigh.
