Cape Fear Men's Basketball vs Harford

Cape Fear wins 82-68

Highlights: The Cape Fear Community College Sea Devils claimed an 82-68 victory over the Harford Fighting Owls in a game characterized by fast-paced offensive runs and well-rounded team play for CFCC. Despite occasional lapses in communication and decision-making, the Sea Devils maintained control throughout, holding their lead through the very end.

Cape Fear's aggressive attacking style allowed them to dictate the tempo early, but turnovers and stretches of possession given to the Owls kept the score closer than the Sea Devils would have liked. Harford struggled to capitalize, missing key free throws and failing to finish on several opportunities, which helped Cape Fear maintain their advantage. But despite the Owls' own errors, the Sea Devils corrected mistakes quickly and kept the overall energy on the court positive and determined.

Jessiah Pierre-Johnson stood out in his new starting role, delivering a dominant performance with 27 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Avion Pinner and JJ Moore contributed with crucial ball movement and relentless effort on both sides of the court, while Cooper Hawk showed growth in finishing plays down low. Jefferson McLamb's leadership by example helped silently guide the team through moments of adversity and kept the Sea Devils focused enough to seal the win.

"Our defensive effort was incredibly strong," said Head Coach Mark Lane. "But I'm also really proud of how selfless everyone played today. We moved the ball around well and created opportunities for each other, and I'm very proud of that. Coming up today, we're playing a very physically dominant team, and we are getting ready for that challenge."
