Cape Fear loses 84-71

Highlights: The Cape Fear Sea Devils Men's Basketball team suffered a disappointing 84-71 loss to the Fayetteville Tech Trojans. The Sea Devils struggled with ball movement and finishing plays, allowing the Trojans to capitalize on their high-energy offense. The game started off close, but Fayetteville Tech pulled away after the first few minutes, holding a strong lead moving into halftime and a near 20-point lead early in the second half. Cape Fear managed to cut the deficit to 9 points with 6 minutes left, but the Trojans continually answered with big shots to maintain their control.

AuMauri Tillman went hot for a solid 3-point streak towards the end of the game to close the score gap and help the Sea Devils contend. He finished going 5 for 7 from the three-point line and totaled 19 points and 2 assists. Cooper Hawk totaled 11 rebounds to keep the Sea Devils alive in the paint throughout the matchup.

"A very disappointing loss on our end," Head Coach Mark Lane reflected. "We struggled to connect passes and keep our foot on the gas to start runs and make big stops. We'll take this time to rest and lock back in before our next game after the Thanksgiving break."
