Wilmington, NC - Coach Lori Drake's Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team opened the season Tuesday night with an 84-36 triumph over Mount Olive College JV.
Eboni Gilliam hit the boards with 25 points and 15 rebounds. The Sea Devils also had two others in double figures – Kristina Rumplasch with 19 points and Shakerya Morrison with 14. Rumplasch grabbed 15 rebounds and Morrison followed with 7.
"I am pleased with our efforts tonight in the win," Coach Drake commented. "We executed our goals as well as setting some new goals. We still have a lot of work to do, but the season is young and I see us continuing to shine."
The Sea Devils hit the hardwood once again this weekend as part of the Louisburg Tourney on Nov. 8th versus the College of Hagerstown.
