Wilmington, NC - Four Lady Sea Devils scored in double figures as the Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team cruised to an 88-47 win at Patrick Henry CC on Saturday afternoon.
"We've been putting in a lot of hard work in practice and like I said the other night, I think we're peaking as a team and you couldn't ask for a better time to be doing it than at the end of the season," said CFCC second-year coach Lori Drake. "We've been able to get everyone involved and playing like a unit."
Kristina Rumplasch led all scorers with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Alexis Redd put in an all-around effort with 20 points, seven boards and three assists. Eboni Gilliam also picked up a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Porsha Buchanan had a strong game at the point with 10 assists.
Cape Fear extended its winning streak to six in a row as the Sea Devils get back to practice this week heading into the Region X conference tournament on Friday in Raleigh.
