Wilmington – Cape Fear Community College's women's basketball team continued its winning ways at the Schwartz Center Saturday afternoon by beating Spartanburg Methodist decisively, 69-53.
Coach Lori Drake's team raised its season record to 4-0.
"I am extremely pleased of the team play we have exhibited thus far" Drake commented. "We had a team high of 17 assists today."
Eboni Gilliam led Cape Fear with a 16-point, 14-rebound performance. Kristina Rumplasch wasn't far behind with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Porsha Buchanan had three steals and eight assists.
The Sea Devils are back in action tomorrow as they play host to Clinton JC. Game time is slated for 2:00 pm in the Schwartz Center.
