Played her varsity basketball at Chancellor High School (VA) where she finished with 186 career Points, 195 Rebounds, 82 Blocks, 42 Steals, and 30 assists in 16.0 minutes per game.

As a senior, Young appeared in 22 games, where she averaged 8.5 points per game, 8.9 rebounds per game, 3.7 blocks per game, 1.9 steals per game, and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 33% from the field and 72% from the free throw line.

During her senior season, Young helped the Chargers finish the 2015-2016 season with a (18-5) record, (8-1) conference record. That record helped earn Chancellor women's basketball program a 2016 Conference 19 Championship, and a Regional Quarterfinal appearance in the 2016 State Championship Tournament.

Personal
Young is pursuing an Associate's Degree in Arts while playing on the Cape Fear Women's Basketball program. Wants to move on to a four-year college to study journalism and has a goal to be on Good Morning America one day.
