Sea Devils Triumph Over Statesmen

Sea Devils Triumph Over Statesmen

Location: Joe & Barbara Schwartz Center - Wilmington, NC

Updated Record: 7-2

Score: CFCC 79, Richard Bland 65

In Short: The Sea Devils powered through a hard-fought matchup against the Richard Bland Statesmen and emerged victorious.

Highlights:

After a tough loss on Saturday, the Sea Devils refocused and came together as a team in preparation for their Wednesday night matchup in the Schwartz Center. Although they started off a bit slow to the punch against the offensive drives from the Statesmen, remaining positive and working together in down situations is nothing new for this team. CFCC was able to match the Statesmen's energy on the offensive side of the ball and kept the game within 10 points throughout the entire first half.

Moving into the second half, the Sea Devils were able to execute in key deciding situations with excellent rebounding and forcing turnovers from the Statesmen. Jordan McNeill (Fr.) facilitated impactful rebounds on the Sea Devils' defensive end while Akhiris Holden (Fr.) took control of the ball movement immediately when turnovers occurred - finishing with an impressive left-handed dunk on one of his runs in the second half.

"Super proud of how we responded in the second half," remarked Head Coach Mark Lane. "Jordan McNeill and Akhiris Holden really stepped up and provided us with a huge boost off the bench."

Up Next: The Sea Devils will enjoy a well-deserved rest period and will be back in action on Friday, December 17th against Harcum College in part of the Brunswick Classic.
