Highlights:

The Sea Devils traveled south to take on conference opponents, the USC Salkehatchie Indians, on Saturday afternoon. The Indians caught the Sea Devils on their back foot as they took a 14-6 lead early on. However, Cape Fear was able to close the gap to a 5-point differential as the game progressed. While they battled for opportunities and did their best to lock down their defense, the Indians were relentless in their offensive pursuits as they ultimately closed out a close game with a win.

The Sea Devils performed well in executing freethrows as they were 75% from the line. Daniel Ransom totaled 12 rebounds and 16 points to keep Cape Fear competitive throughout the game. AJ Thompson went 3-for-3 from the 3-point line and totaled 8 rebounds alongside Ransom to finish on Saturday night.

"We didn't get the stops we needed to," remarked Head Coach Mark Lane. "There's no time to hang our heads, but we have to execute at both ends of the court."
