Wilmington, NC - Top-seeded Cape Fear Community College took one step closer to clinching a Region 10 Title following a 4-0 shutout over No. 5 Patrick Henry Community College in the semifinals of the conference tournament at Legion Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Four different players notched goals in the result, including Katie Causey, Alyssa Coustenis, Gabby Serpa and Raime Cooper.
"We did a good job limiting chances from Patrick Henry and created quality opportunities for ourselves. We played a solid overall game and look forward to competing for the championship tomorrow."
The Sea Devils improved to 11-6 overall and advanced to the finals against No. 3 Spartanburg Methodist (11-7) at 12 p.m. on Sunday. Spartanburg grabbed a 3-2 overtime result over No. 2 Louisburg College in the other semifinal matchup.
