Americus, Georgia - Cape Fear women's basketball lost on the road to South Georgia Tech on Saturday by the score of 58-42.
TaKwana Bland lead the Sea Devils with 14 points and two steals.
The Sea Devils were limited offensively, scoring just 16 points in the first half. They would find more offense in the second half, but would be unable to slow down The Jets.
"We are still trying to find consistency and energy through out each quarter of the game," said head coach Lori Drake. "We allowed SGTC to control the tempo of the game in the first quarter, and we can't allow teams to do that. We have to turn our focus to tomorrow's game and be prepared to get a win over Wallace State."
With the loss, Cape Fear falls to 1-1 on the season. Their next game is against Wallace State Hanceville on November 13th. The game will be played at South Georgia State, and tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
