WILMINGTON, NC--- The Sea Devil Women's Basketball program hits the road and returns to the hardwood for a Tuesday exhibition versus Wingate University. Cape Fear Women's Basketball head coach Lori Drake will face off against the Bulldog women's basketball program led by Drake's former collegiate coach Ann Hancock.
"I am excited for us to face such a great team at this point in the year. I am even more excited to play against my college coach, Ann Hancock. It is an opportunity that we couldn't pass up. I am looking forward to seeing how much our ladies have developed since playing UNC-Pembroke in an early October scrimmage," said Sea Devil Women's Basketball head coach Lori Drake in her opening pre-game presser comments prior to Tuesday's game.

Drake, played her collegiate basketball at UNC-Wilmington from 2004-2007 under Ann Hancock; during her senior season averaged 13.7 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game in 35.1 minutes per game. Following Drake's strong senior season, she was named Third Team All-CAA and voted as the team MVP and Most Improved Player.
Former Sea Devil Women's Basketball forward/center Kristina Rumplasch, is currently a senior on the Bulldogs' women's basketball program, who Drake coached from 2013-2015 at Cape Fear Community College.
"Taking care of the ball has to be most important, box and board will be key against their top 6'4" post player, and defend without fouling," added Drake when asked what her biggest keys against the Bulldogs' women's basketball program.
TaKwana Bland, Destiny Campbell, and Desaree Green are the players who stood out from practice this week leading up to Tuesday's match-up.
Following Tuesday's exhibtion, the Sea Devils will return to action in a Region 10 Conference clash versus Clinton Junior College on Saturday,December 10th from Rock Hill, South Carolina; tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. (EST).
