Rock Hill, SC - Cape Fear women's basketball improved to 5-0 in Region X conference play after defeating Clinton Junior College 78-75. Desaree Green scored a game high 20 points for the Sea Devils.
Also leading the way for Cape Fear was TaKwana Bland, who finished with 14 points, while Destiny Campbell scored 13, and Taylor Foulks added 11.
Afterwards, head coach Lori Drake was pleased with how her team played on the road.
"Road wins in Region X are always huge for us. Clinton is not an easy place to place and our ladies came out and fought through some adversity."
With their next game in less than 24 hours there won't be much time for rest, but Drake is confident her team will be ready.
"We will regroup and prepare for a very talented Spartanburg Methodist team tomorrow."
The win improves Cape Fear's overall record to 6-2. Sunday's road game against Spartanburg Methodist is scheduled to start at noon.
