Petersburg, VA - After more than two weeks off for the holidays Cape Fear entered its final stretch of non-conference games with an 87-82 setback to Richard Bland College in men's basketball action on Wednesday night.
"We got out worked for 35 minutes tonight," said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. "They are a very good team and deserve a lot of credit for it. We have to bounce back quick as we play again tomorrow."
Anthony Vanhook posted a double-double for the Sea Devils with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Calvin Davis scored a team-high 19 points.
The result snapped a five-game winning streak for Cape Fear, but the Sea Devils (10-6) have a chance to get back in the win column at home against Mount Zion on Thursday, Jan. 8. Game time is set for 7:00 pm in the Schwartz Center.
