In Short: Cape Fear wins at home as the team begins to work more cohesively together as a unit in non conference play.

Highlights:

Sea Devils Men's Basketball took on the Central Carolina Cougars on Wednesday night at home in the Schwartz Center. Cape Fear took the court looking to develop their team cohesion and adjust unforced errors on both sides of the floor.

Cape Fear and Central Carolina played neck-and-neck throughout most of the first half - finishing up 32-29 in the first. The Sea Devils began to capitalize on a few fast breaks and lock things down on defense in order to expand their lead moving into the second half. The Sea Devils were able to improve their free throw percentage and mitigate turnovers, while also coming up strong on some key defensive rebounds.

"Glad we got back on the winning track," says Head Coach Mark Lane. "Huge boosts off the bench from Antoine Piper and Akhiris Holden. We look forward to competing on Saturday."

Up Next: Cape Fear will take on Mountain Gateway at 3 PM on Saturday November 19th at home in the Schwartz Center.
