In Short: Cape Fear Men's Basketball defeats the Eagles on their home court - making this their second over 20 point victory over an opponent this season.

Highlights:

The Sea Devils continue to ride the high of success following last week's 2-for-2 win streak. The team has continued to push the tempo in games and has begun to even out their shooting percentages as they dive deeper into the season.

The greatest takeaway from last night's victory, aside from a string of solid 3-pointers across the Sea Devils' lineup, was the entire team's continued unselfish play that led to a tremendous amount of scoring opportunities against Wake Tech. Throughout both halves, Cape Fear continuously hustled from baseline to baseline and locked in their focus on creating as many scoring opportunities for each other as possible - including some key rebounds that were then dished out for some killer jump shots as the game progressed.

Cape Fear finished the first half 24-19 and were able to capitalize on the majority of their offensive pursuits against the Eagles. The main thorn in the side of Cape Fear would be tightening up defensively to avoid unnecessary foul calls and finding other creative ways to force turnovers and contest shots from their opponent.

Moving into the second half, the Sea Devils kept the intensity high and were able to finish the game with a few clutch fast breaks involving players across the depth chart.

Sophomore Daniel Ransom continues to be one of the hardest working players on any court he steps out onto, while Sophomore Akhiris Holden was an asset to the Sea Devils on both sides of the ball throughout the matchup - hustling to make defensive plays while opening up offensive possibilities for himself and his teammates with a great finesse.

Korey Richardson remains a reliable 1 spot with high energy and poised ball movement. Josh Laney has also stepped up to the plate as his consistent effort puts him in positions to make big plays.

"As a team, we are starting to play unselfishly and the results are showing on the court," says Head Coach Mark Lane. "We progressively get better on a day-to-day basis because of it."
