Cape Fear Ties Spartanburg in Double Overtime

Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear women's soccer drew 1-1 with Spartanburg Methodist in double overtime on Wednesday.

Trinity Davis scored Cape Fear's lone goal of the game in the 24th minute off an assist from Esperanza McKay. It is Davis's 9th goal of the season and McKay's 6th assist.

"I'm proud of the effort and commitment to work hard for each other tonight," said head coach Ryan Deppa. "Both teams created an exciting game from beginning to end."

The Sea Devils move to 10-1-1 on the season overall and 6-0-1 in conference play. They play next on on Thursday, October 18th at home against Patrick Henry at 1:00 p.m.
