Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear women's soccer defeated Patrick Henry Community College 6-0 on Thursday.

Dani Donovan led the Sea Devils, scoring two goals. Trinity Davis, Madison Bolen, Samantha Iorio, and Esperanza McKay scored one each.

Today's win comes a day after a 1-1 double overtime draw against Spartanburg Methodist. It is also the team's 11th shutout of the season.

Head coach Ryan Deppa was pleased with his team's performance.

"The team did a good job with the game," said Deppa. "[I'm] proud of them for continuing to stick together and finding ways to get it done. The team has scored some very nice goals this year, and to get the 11th shutout of the year with a few games left is a very good sign."

The Sea Devils improve to 11-1-1 overall and 7-0-1 in conference play. They continue their streak of consecutive games played with a matchup on Friday on the road against USC Lancaster. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
