Kinston, NC – Coach Emily Coleman's Cape Fear Community College volleyball team continued its winning ways Wednesday afternoon by scoring a 3-0 triumph over Lenoir Community College.
It was the Sea Devils' second consecutive shutout of the regular season and raised their overall mark to 18-1 and 15-1 in conference play.
"We fought hard in the second game," Coleman noted. "We need to eliminate unforced errors. But overall, it was a good team effort."
Cape Fear won each set with scores of 25-17, 30-28 and 25-16.
Heidi Milliken led the winners with 19 digs and teammate Molly Tatum had 13 kills.
A doubleheader is scheduled Friday, Oct. 18th at the Swartz center. A 3 pm contest is on tap against Catawba Valley while a 7 pm encounter against Northern Virginia concludes the action.
