Cape Fear Proves Dominant on the Road

Virginia Beach, VA - The lady Sea Devils traveled to Virginia Beach to take on non-conference opponent Regent University, defeating them 5-1!

Cape Fear went down 1-0 30 minutes into the first half. Maggie Hall then answered back for the Sea Devils to tie it 1-1 at halftime. Cape Fear made a few halftime adjustments and really pushed the game in the 2nd half by getting goals from Trinity Davis, Esperanza McKay, and a 35-yard bomb from Samantha Iorio, while the fourth 2nd half goal came from Haven Best.

Coach Ryan Deppa said "I was pleased with our team's effort today. Have not played a game in 12 days, long bus ride, very tight field, and being down 1-0 on the road. They worked hard for each other and handled the game like seasoned veterans. They continue to grow and continue to improve."

The lady Sea Devils are now 4-1 in conference play and 6-1 on the season.

Their next game is scheduled for Saturday, September 28th at Legion Stadium where they will take on conference opponent Southwest Virginia. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
