Wilmington, NC (October 10, 2023) - Cape Fear Volleyball returned to the Schwartz Center to face off again against the Region 10 Pitt CC Bulldogs. The Sea Devils came off of a 3-0 sweep on the road on Monday night against the Lenoir Lancers and were eager to maintain that momentum moving into the following day's matchup against Pitt.
The Sea Devils dominated from the serving line and were able to adjust well to Pitt's attacks. Olivia O'Kane and Abby Morse earned 6 kills each, while London Ipsen led offensively with 7 kills and 6 aces. Overall, the Sea Devils earned 14 aces as a team. Abby Morse also registered 5 blocks on the score sheet.
Cape Fear fell out of rhythm for a moment in the third set but quickly regained control of the game and executed a clean sweep to finish the night off strong.
Cape Fear will take on Region 10 Conference rivals, the Richard Bland Statesmen, on Thursday, October 12th, at 6 PM in the Schwartz Center.
