Walterboro, SC - Cape Fear women's basketball won it's opening game of the season, defeating conference opponent USC Salkehatchie 90-80.
Sophomore guard Ayonna Cotten led the team with 17 points, while sophomore guard Dynasty Heyward added 16.
"I am proud of how well our ladies competed tonight," said head coach Lori Drak. "It's tough to come on the road and win, so to see our ladies pull out a win is excellent."
The Sea Devils improve to 1-0 on the season and in conference play.
Their next game is scheduled for Saturday, November 10th, where they will travel to face South Georgia Technical College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
