Americus, GA - Cape Fear women's basketball defeated Albany Technical College 72-64 on Sunday.
A string of Sea Devils scored in double figures, including Dynasty Heyward, who led with 17 points; Ny Langley, who scored 16; and Tracey Kemp, who added 12.
Autum Morings led the team in rebounds with 12.
Sunday's win comes a day after a defeat to South Georgia Technical College on Saturday. For head coach Lori Drake, the win showed a strong response from her team.
"Coming off of a tough loss against SGTC, we had it set in our minds that we needed the win today," said Drake. "Our ladies weren't going to settle for anything less than a win today. I am proud of how we can out and attacked Albany Tech in the 4th quarter.
The Sea Devils improve to 2-1 on the season following Sunday's win.
Their next game is scheduled for Wednesday, November 14th, where they will take on Lenoir Community College at home. The game will be played at Laney High School at 7:00 p.m.
