Sea Devil Alum compete in the Professional Development League over the summer

Wilmington, NC- Three Sea Devil men's soccer players committed to the Premier Developmental League this summer. The PDL is the highest tier of amateur competition for collegiate players to participate in. Only a select few are chosen each year.

Earl Floyd, Sven Kulovic, and Manbi Nyepon were selected to play for the Virginia Beach Piranhas. All three complied a 24-7-4 overall record during their tenure at Cape Fear Community College while competing at the Junior College level.

"The PDL is an outstanding league and the majority of the college players have aspirations of playing at the next level," stated Robert McGee, CFCC Athletic Director. "It's a great opportunity for our student-athletes and we are excited about the opportunities that will follow."

The USL Premier Development League (commonly known as the PDL) is the amateur league  of the United Soccer Leagues in the United States, Canada, and Bermuda, forming part of the American Soccer Pyramid. It is currently the top level men's amateur soccer competition in the United States, and has 64 teams competing in four conferences, split into nine regional divisions; unofficially, it is considered to be the fourth tier of competition, behind Major League Soccer, the North American Soccer League and the USL Professional Division, and roughly equal with the National Premier Soccer League. - USL Premier Development League.
