In Short: The Sea Devils close out another close matchup against the Wake Tech Eagles on their home court in Raleigh, NC.

Highlights:

After experiencing an unfortunate amount of sick and injured players that forced the team to take a 2-week hiatus, Cape Fear Women's Basketball was hungry to compete again and set out to match up against the Wake Tech Eagles. Last season, the Sea Devils were able to defeat the Eagles in the highly competitive Region 10 Conference Championship game - and this game was no different.

The Eagles and Sea Devils went tit-for-tat throughout the First Half, but the Sea Devils were able to capitalize offensively and produce a 10-point lead moving into the 3rd Quarter. After a few turnovers and defensive errors on Cape Fear's part, the Eagles went on a short run to regain momentum and keep the point differential close until the final minutes.

Cape Fear forced Wake Tech into foul trouble and were able to draw a foul to put returning Sophomore Imani Sutton on the line for 2. Sutton placed one in leaving only 0.6 on the clock in the 4th Quarter while Armani Hayes worked to prevent the Eagles inbound play from progressing following the made basket. The Sea Devils were able to close out the game with a victory once again in the final seconds of play.

Up Next: Cape Fear will take a short break over the Thanksgiving holiday and will resume play on December 1st as they take on the Louisburg Hurricanes on their home court at 5 PM.
