In Short: Cape Fear secured another Region 10 Conference win over the Brunswick Dolphins on Wednesday night.

Highlights:

The Sea Devils joined the rest of the CFCC community for Spirit Week as they took on their cross-county rivals, the Brunswick Dolphins, in a double-header ahead of Cape Fear Men's Basketball immediately following. It was an uncharacteristic start to the game at first - while Cape Fear had experienced slow starts in the past, the Sea Devils struggled to make many shots in the first quarter.

Cape Fear managed to pick up momentum as the quarter continued with Sophomore Alonna Dunlap, a former Brunswick Dolphin herself, was a major component in Cape Fear's offensive success in the paint.

The first half closes out with the Sea Devils leading 27-25 and Cape Fear heads to the locker room to regroup. As they return to the court for the 3rd Quarter, Cape Fear begins closing out defensive rebounds and making solid jumpers across the floor.

The Sea Devils continued to chip away at the Dolphins and build some consistency, but Brunswick was working hard on both ends of the court and continued to give Cape Fear trouble. By the end of the matchup, Cape Fear scathed by with a win moving into their final home matchups of the season.

Up Next: Cape Fear Women's Basketball will take on Catawba Valley on Saturday, February 25th at 1PM as they celebrate Sophomore Day and Black History Month in the Schwartz Center.
