In Short: Cape Fear Women's Soccer team delivered a commanding 7-1 victory over USC Sumter, showcasing their strength early on in the season.

Highlights: Although Sumter struck first with an early goal, the Sea Devils quickly regrouped and shut down their opponent's offense for the rest of the match. Brynli Baker led the charge as the player of the game, scoring twice and adding two assists. Cape Fear's offensive depth was on full display, with many different players finding the back of the net. Hannah Milbourn contributed a goal and an assist, while Kayla Donley added a goal and an assist of her own.

Cape Fear's first goal of the game was a 1 v goalkeeper from Johanna Morales with an assist from Brynli Baker. After Hannah scored the second Sea Devil goal, a third came from Kenliana Dixon with a rocket to the upper corner with help from Kylie CozartTeagan Rosales tallied an assist to Brynli while Heidi Rebollar also put one in off of a corner kick from Avery Reichert.

Final Thoughts: "The start was rough, but after that first goal was scored on us, we settled down," remarks Head Women's Soccer coach C.W. Ponton. "We played the way we aimed for and I was pleased that all of our active players could contribute to the win."
