Cape Fear wins 6-0

In Short: Cape Fear displays yet another dominant performance to keep them at the top of the Region 10 Conference after facing off with the Richard Bland Statesmen.

Highlights: The Cape Fear Women's Soccer team showcased their offensive strength and adaptability with a decisive 6-0 victory over the Richard Bland Statesmen. The Sea Devils struck early, with Kenliana Dixon heading in a throw from Kayla Donley in the 7th minute. Jo Morales then doubled the lead in the 27th minute with a tap-in goal, assisted by Brynli Baker.

Baker, who finished with 2 goals and 1 assist, continued her standout performance in the second half, scoring an incredible goal directly from a corner kick. She later set up Kylie Cozart for a side-volley goal off another corner. Jo Morales followed with an additional goal to further solidify the Sea Devils' victory.

Cape Fear found a poised sense of control the second half, improving on their first-half mistakes and effectively countering the Statesmen's defensive game plan. With contributions from multiple players, the Sea Devils continue their progression as an attacking unit moving through conference play.

Final Thoughts: "I'm very pleased with our second-half performance—it's exactly what we've been striving for," says Head Coach C.W. Ponton. "I'm especially impressed with the efforts of our midfield and defensive players; they really stepped up and executed well."
