Cape Fear vs Louisburg

Cape Fear wins 4-0

Highlights: In a commanding performance at the Region 10 Conference Semifinal, the Sea Devils sailed past Louisburg with a convincing 4-0 victory, securing their spot in the championship match.

Right from the opening whistle, Cape Fear took control, dominating possession and relentlessly pressuring Louisburg's defense. The Sea Devils unleashed an impressive 17 shots on goal throughout the match, leaving Louisburg struggling to keep pace.

The breakthrough came through the first half when Teagan Rosales delivered a perfectly timed cross to Johanna Morales, who found the back of the net with precision. Just moments later, Brynli Baker's well-placed free kick found Morales, who headed it past the goalkeeper for her second goal, doubling Cape Fear's lead. Almost immediately after, Rosales recorded her second assist of the game, sending a crisp pass to Baker, who displayed finesse in her finish to put Cape Fear up 3-0 before halftime.

In the second half, Cape Fear remained in control. Kayla Donley played a key role in the final goal, working the ball to Baker, who skillfully weaved past Louisburg defenders before delivering a clinical finish to seal the 4-0 win.

Despite Louisburg's efforts, the Sea Devils' superior skill and teamwork proved too much. With this victory, Cape Fear now looks ahead to the Region 10 Championship match, set to take place on their home turf this Saturday afternoon.

Final Thoughts: "Very pleased with the team performance and happy that we were able to get through the first round of the conference playoffs," says Head Coach C.W. Ponton. "It was an overall win that allowed us to put four goals on the board and get the clean sheet."
