CFCC Women Fall To #1 Ranked Louisburg College

WILMINGTON - The Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team suffered another tough loss Monday night against #1 nationally-ranked Louisburg College 97-72 in the Schwartz Center.

Cape Fear was able to build an early lead behind strong post play from Alexis Adams, but foul trouble forced the freshman to the bench.  Lousiburg used an late 11-2 run to head into the locker room with a 15 point advantage.  The halftime lead proved to be too much for the Sea Devils to overcome.  Cape Fear was paced by Jordan Hill, who poured in 30 points and 8 rebounds. Alexis Redd added 14 points, 5 rebounds and two steals.

The Sea Devils are 8-11 overall and 4-7 in conference play. The women will hit the road on Wed., Feb. 20 and travel to Kinston, NC for a game against Lenoir Community College at 5:30 p.m. The Sea Devils defeated LCC earlier this year in Wilmington and hope for a repeat performance to break a seven-game losing streak.
