WILMINGTON - The Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team ended the regular season on a high note Sunday with a 75-65 victory over Patrick Henry Community College at the Schwartz Center.
The win breaks a nine-game losing streak for the lady Sea Devils and brings their overall record to 5-9 in the conference and 9-13 overall.
Leading players for CFCC were Jordan Hill with 19 points and 6 rebounds; Porsha Buchanan with 16 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds; and Alexis Redd with 15 points, 2 assists and 6 rebounds.
The team has just under a week to get ready for their debut appearance at the Region 10 NJCAA conference tournament in Martinsville, Virginia on Friday, March 8.
