Sea Devils End Skid

Martinsville, VA - The Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team ended a season-long three-game skid Saturday afternoon in Martinsville, Va., as the Sea Devils used good ball movement and a gritty effort on the defensive end of the floor en route to a 75-58 win over Patrick Henry CC.

Kristina Rumplasch led the way with a game-high 30 points and 10 rebounds to record a double-double, while Eboni Gilliam scored 11 points and pulled down five boards for CFCC. The Sea Devils spread the wealth with 20 assists in the game and added 12 steals to move to 4-3 in conference and 12-3 overall.

Cape Fear returns to the floor in their only home game of the month on Wednesday, Jan. 22 against Lenoir Community College. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at the Schwartz Center in Downtown Wilmington. The Sea Devils are in the middle of their toughest stretch on the schedule during the month of January, having played their last seven games away from the local campus.
