Lady Sea Devils Fall at Home

Wilmington, NC - The Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team played their only home game in January and dropped a tough 59-56 Region 10 contest as Lenoir Community College swept the season series over the Sea Devils at the Schwartz Center on Wednesday night.

Kristina Rumplasch scored a team-high 18 points for Cape Fear, while Shakerya Morrison pulled down 16 rebounds and chipped in with nine points.

The Sea Devils (4-4, 12-4) have struggled as of late, having lost three of their last four games, with a weekend up trip to end the month. Cape Fear will try bounce back and make a run in conference with three of their final five league games back in downtown Wilmington, where they've enjoyed a 6-1 record at home.

Cape Fear heads to Guilford Tech and Catawba Valley for two big league matchups in the western part of the state on back-to-back days this upcoming Friday and Saturday night.
