Volleyball drops Two Road Matches

Spartanburg, SC - Cape Fear women's volleyball lost two matches on Saturday to end the weekend at the Spartanburg Methodist Invitational.

The Sea Devils fought hard against Wallace State Community College-Hanceville but lost in three sets, 23-25, 13-25, and 13-25.

Angelica Biele led the team with 6 kills and 1 ace.

The Sea Devils dropped the second match to Walters State Community College in three sets 14-25, 20-25, and 21-25.

Ceri'on Ellis Mosely and Angelica Biele both finished with 6 kills. In addition Biele had 3 blocks and 12 assists, while Callie Weaver added 12 digs.

"Even though we ended the weekend with 2 tough loses, we had a great opening weekend, learned about our strengths and what we need to work out. Very proud of the team and all of their hard work", commented head coach Heather Emborsky.

Now standing at 2-2, Cape Fear will return to the court to face off against Wake Tech Community College on Tuesday, September 3rd in Raleigh, NC.
