Volleyball Defeats Fayetteville on the Road

Fayetteville, NC – Cape Fear beat Fayetteville Tech CC 3-1 in Fayetteville on Tuesday night. 

The Sea Devils struggled in the first set losing to Fayetteville 25-22.  But Cape Fear came back to win the next three sets 25-23, 27-25, and 25-16 respectively.

Cape Fear had many strong performers, including Neryssa Donnell who finished with 11 digs and 3 aces, and Callie Weaver with 7 digs and 1 ace, and Angelica Biele with 11 kills and 5 aces.  Emily Steyskal finished with 10 kills and Ally Royal led the team with 15 kills.

"An outstanding performance all around tonight but specifically on defense, the team played to win tonight and it was really fun to coach this match. So proud, of all of the girl's efforts and breaking FTCC's 8 game winning streak", commented head coach Heather Emborsky.

The Sea Devils improve to 13-3 overall, and 8-1 in conference play. 

They play next at home on Thursday, October 17th against USC Salkehatchie with the match starting at 6:00 p.m.
