CFCC Volleyball Wins in 3 Sets

Thomasville, NC - Cape Fear volleyball defeated Davidson County Community College 3-0 on the road. 

The Sea Devils entered the match winners of eight straight.

Cape Fear had a fairly easy time in the first set, winning 25-13. Davidson closed the gap in the second and third sets; however Cape Fear won 25-18 and 25-20, respectively.

Still, they earned the win in straight sets, something head coach Heather Emborsky was very pleased with.

"We came in and got the job done today to secure the #2 spot in the Conference."

Callie Weaver finished with 9 digs, while Naomi Pegues led the team with 26 assists and 5 aces.  Lauren Adams had 11 kills and Ivy Renn finished with 4 aces.

The Sea Devils improve to 15-3 on the season, and 10-1 in conference play. They remain in second place in the NJCAA Region 10 Conference.  They will head to Surry CC for the Region 10 Conference Tournament on Friday, November 1st.
