Cape Fear vs Fayetteville Tech

Cape Fear wins 3-0

Highlights: The Cape Fear Community College Volleyball team secured a decisive 3-0 victory over the Fayetteville Tech Trojans, dominating the match from the start with strong serving and a consistent offensive rhythm. The Sea Devils jumped out to early leads in both the first and second sets, maintaining a commanding advantage to take them 25-17 and 25-15, respectively.

In the third set, FTCC mounted a comeback, but Cape Fear held their ground, pulling away in the late teens to close out the match 25-20. Emma Anderson led the attack with 9 kills, while Mackenzie Davis delivered a standout all-around performance with 7 kills, 11 digs, and 5 aces. Brooke Bombatepe and Kori Jennings orchestrated the offense with 14 and 16 assists - each contributing a pair of aces.

Cape Fear Wins 3-0

Highlights: The Sea Devils put on a gritty performance in an intense matchup marked by long rallies and stellar defense on both sides. Despite a slow start in the second set, the Sea Devils battled back from a difficult deficit and pushed every set into the 20s with tenacious play against the Cleveland Yetis. Defensive anchor Quinn Meiser led the team with 19 digs, while Brooke Bombatepe and Kori Jennings each contributed 10 digs and combined for 31 assists to keep the Sea Devil offense on point.

Mackenzie Davis showcased her versatility once again with 10 kills, 10 digs, and 2 aces, while Sarah Siebert and Nevaeh Ortiz chipped in with 6 kills apiece. Though the Yetis put up an incredible fight, the Sea Devils' determination and ability to push through adversity demonstrated their competitive spirit.
