Wilmington, NC - The Lady Sea Devils used a dominant effort to advance through to the Region 10 semifinals as Cape Fear shutout USC-Lancaster 12-0 at the CFCC North Campus Field on Wednesday.
"It can be hard to play games like this and still maintain our level of play," said CFCC Coach Melissa Anderson. "I was proud of our team and the sportsmanship they showed.
"It's time now to gear up and focus for our next match and hopefully a run to the conference championship."
Madison Manship led the attack and recorded the hat trick, while Nikki Tiller tallied twice as nine different players found the back of the net. Megan Fouty also added a goal and four assists in the result.
After dropping a regular season game to Louisburg, Cape Fear looks to bounce back in a road game against the Hurricanes in the Region 10 semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 1.
